アルベルト・アインシュタイン（1879-1955）は、相対性理論で有名なドイツ出身の20世紀を代表する理論物理学者、ノーベル物理学賞受賞者です。
一般相対性理論・特殊相対性理論で有名で、現代物理学の父と呼ばれています。
アインシュタインの理論は物理学に革命をもたらし、現代物理学の基礎を築きました。
ちなみに、舌出しの写真が有名ですが、普段はおとなしい性格だったアインシュタインがメディア陣から「笑ってください」というリクエストに応えて笑いそうになったところ恥ずかしくなったため、咄嗟に舌を出したんだそうです。
意外にも本人はこの写真を気に入ったそうで、焼き増しをリクエストしたという後日談が伝わっています。
